Workshop: Parent Counseling
On 31 October 2025, a workshop on the topic “Parent Counseling” was held, organized by the Red Cross of the Republic of North Macedonia. A total of 20 psychologists from various Red Cross branches and partner institutions participated in the event.
The aim of the workshop was to strengthen the professional capacities of psychologists in the field of psychological counseling and parental support, as part of activities to improve mental health and the well-being of families. The program covered the following topics:
- Developmental theories and their application in understanding child and family development;
- Psychological counseling – techniques, principles, and communication approaches;
- Counseling parents in coping with various challenges in the parenting process;
- Practical exercises and case studies, through which participants had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real and simulated situations.
The workshop was conducted in an interactive and constructive atmosphere, with an exchange of experiences and best practices among psychologists. At the end of the event, participants expressed satisfaction with the organization and emphasized the importance of such forms of continuous education, which contribute to better family support and the strengthening of the Red Cross’s humanitarian mission.
